Just in time for Easter – New Bunny Blanket

12 Mar

I have been wanting to add a cute little bunny rabbit to my list of BB blankets in my ETSY shop. I’ve had the pattern done for awhile, but it always got pushed to back burner. Finally just in time for Easter, I finished my first one, soon to be followed by a second one in yellow.

Made with the ever popular MINKY fabric, this little bunny will look adorable Sunday morning in your child’s Easter basket. The front of the Rabbit is an adorable cotton print, little bunnies hiding behind tulips and Easter eggs. I’ve embroidered Easter across the little bunny’s ear and tied a cute carrot/bunny themed ribbon around it’s neck.

New Embroidered Baby Blanket Line

15 Dec

I have just finished the first two blankets of my new Embroidered baby blanket line. I am very excited about this as it affords me the opportunity to place objects and animals on the blankets that would normally not come off very well in a 3D layout. I have started the line with 2 blankets each inspired by my children. As every summer my son has the best time watching the swallow tail caterpillars in our backyard, I have created this wonderfully warm and soft light green baby blanket, featuring a hungry caterpillar on a leaf and have backed it with wonderful abstract yellow, blue, and green foliage. The other blanket is pure girlie in every way, just like my daughter. A beautiful pink flower is embroidered on the front and gorgeous rose fabric backs the blanket.

Many more will be coming soon, so please keep checking back.

Ready for the Holidays!

7 Dec

As I am thinking about decorating my house, dreading the trip to the attic to get everything down, I want to help others get their homes ready for the holidays too. I have discounted all my holiday items 20% through out my Etsy shop ( This includes all my non-holiday specific wreaths.

Pine Cone Wreath

I have also included in my holiday sale all my jewelry, hats, and other items that would make great stocking stuffers, such as my gadget hats ( which you can custom with your choice of fabric.

Gadget Hat

This incredible style of hat is a staple for me, I wear it everywhere. The hat features a convenient pocket in the back which is comfortable and handy for storing your cell phone, mp3 player, etc.

These savings won’t last!

My New Clutch

17 Sep

Red and Gold ClutchI hate to toot my own horn, but I am so in love with this new clutch:

This bag is created with lovely elegant red and gold fabric with a luscious red lining.

Bag is handmade but is created with the simple stylistic elegance of a vintage clutch.

This clutch features a traditional metal clasp frame and flat bottom triangular design. This clutch is the perfect size to tote all essentials for an evening out.

This was so much fun to create and pick fabric for, I cannot wait to do another one.

My New Gadget Hat

16 Sep

Well world I have been blown away by the positive feedback and reviews that my new Gadget hat has created.   Created with my own need in mind, I figured if I found something like this useful perhaps others would too.  Compared to my other posted items, I got the most hits in 24 hours on my hat than any other item I’ve ever posted.   It is truly a privilege to provide items that help and simplify people’s lives and I look forward to updating and providing new styles and fabrics with this concept in mind.  You can get one here

To Rip or Cut?

25 Aug

During the process of making blankets, which are generally square, the repetitive action of cutting little squares over and over becomes tedious.  There’s got to be a better way.  Consider the rip!  Although many talented quilters would probably cringe at the idea of ripping fabrics, as they love the careful precision of neat little triangles and squares.  I think my life better parallels the quick and dirt rip method.  Grab that piece of satin and rip to your heart content.  I work with satins quite a lot and they tear wonderfully!  Good cottons will keep their line too.   So embrace the rip!
